Disclaimer: This fact sheet is for educational use only. Please consult your doctor or other health professional to make sure this information is right for your child.

How to find a hospital

New Zealand has both private and publicly run hospitals. Public hospitals are run by DHBs (District Health Boards). Some DHBs have one hospital, others have several.

To help you find a hospital, the everybody website provides a New Zealand Hospitals Index - an index to private and publicly run hospitals in New Zealand.
