Weight is influenced by two things: the food we eat and the activity we do. The best thing you can do to help your child achieve a healthy weight is to make changes to your family’s lifestyle to include more physical activity and less high fat and high sugar foods. A child is much more likely to succeed if the whole family adopts healthy behaviours.
Plain water and milk are the best drinks for children. Reduced fat milk is suitable for children from two years of age.
Activity is just as important for babies as it is for older children. By helping infants, toddlers and young children to get active, we help them to learn and grow.

Information to encourage your child from 5 - 12 years to be more active and to develop fundamental movement skills.
