Tamariki need sleep to grow and develop. Sometimes tamariki experience issues with their sleep. These issues can occur at any age. There are many reasons why your child may be having trouble with their sleep. 

The Murdoch Children's Research Institute has lots of great resources. They can help you, and your whānau to manage some of the sleep issues your child may have.

The podcasts may help you identify sleeping problems in your children from infancy to secondary school. They give you easy-to-understand steps to improve your child's sleep cycles and overall health.

Sleep strategies to help your child sleep well

Take a look at the sleep strategies that help address some common sleep issues. Some children have trouble getting to sleep, staying asleep or they wake early. The strategies are based on research and have been shown to work well for many families.
