What is Vitadol C?

Vitadol C is a liquid vitamin supplement that contains vitamins A, C and D.

Why do some babies need to take Vitadol C?

Breastmilk is the ideal and recommended food for your baby, but it is not a good source of vitamin D. Babies and children need vitamins to help with growth and development.

Vitamin D is one of the most important vitamins in Vitadol C. It helps your baby use calcium to build and maintain strong bones. Low levels of vitamin D in babies can cause rickets. This can result in weak bones, delayed walking, bowed legs and swollen wrists or ankles. Babies who are small or premature are at increased risk of rickets. These babies must take supplements.

Research shows term babies will also benefit from taking Vitadol C, especially if they have naturally dark skin. There is currently no medicine for babies that only contains vitamin D and so that is why we use Vitadol C.

What dose should I give my baby?

How do I give Vitadol C to my baby?

Babies usually have no trouble taking Vitadol C as it tastes sweet.
