Whānau Āwhina Plunket is a Well Child provider. It is Aotearoa New Zealand's largest provider of support services for the development, health and wellbeing of tamariki (children) and whānau (family).

The B4 School Check is a free health and development check for your 4 year old. It's the final Well Child Tamariki Ora check. It helps give your child the best start at school. Remember to take your child's My Health Book with you to the check.

The Well Child Tamariki Ora programme is a series of health visits and support that are free to all whānau (families) for tamariki (children) from around 6 weeks up to 5 years of age.

Your lead maternity carer will care for you while you are pregnant, during labour and birth and for 4 to 6 weeks after your baby is born. All maternity care is free unless you choose a specialist doctor.

In the early years you and your child will need lots of help and advice about sickness and keeping healthy. It is very helpful to have a family doctor and practice nurse who get to know you and your child well.

PlunketLine is a free parent helpline and advice service available to all families, whānau and caregivers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Don't make up formula in advance because harmful bacteria can grow in it.
